The place was of course, super crowded. It was perfect timing because the sun started to shine at around lunch time, so I immediately suggested that we go for it. We parked at UW Mall, and walked our way to the Quad. Camilla was in a stroller and her being clingy, we had to hold hands while she is on the stroller and being pushed by dada, and I had to walk beside her with my arms stretched out. Okay, fine, as long as she stays in the stroller.
The cherry blossoms were in perfect bloom at this time, I would always treasure these random (although planned) weekend activities. Having a toddler means searching for places that you'll both enjoy on the weekends. We try to have a family activity scheduled on weekends, make it a small farmer's market visit, to downtown open area event, and even quick grocery trips, it has to involve and revolve on Camilla being exposed to these areas and experiences. That way, we get to bond more, enjoy each other more, and learn more about what she likes and how much she's willing to explore.
I hope to be able to find more activities in our area, which will involve things like this--family and outdoor events. Being in Washington is a bit tricky because it rains most of the time, so when we get to see the sun especially on a weekend, we just have to go out.
