But we did prepare cupcakes for her :)
At 6 months, she's making a lot more sounds. Done with the coo's, on to the uuuuuhhhhhh!!!! She's like a she hulk when she makes that weird kinda like "look at me I'm so strong" sound.
She loves to play with her saliva and make rrrrrr sounds with it. She rolls over super fast. It was just recently that she's able to rotate and move to her side when she's on her tummy. Soon enough she'd be crawling! She's better with tummy time, she lasts longer. She recognizes familiar faces and smiles more, giggles and laughs more. She's fun to play with. She loves hearing different sounds too. The first time she heard the farm animal sounds, she was giggling, especially with the pig's sound. Her hands and feet are so strong.
She would play with her toes like she's scratching the side of her feet with her big toes. If you put on her socks, these will only last for a minute. Eventually, she'll be able to remove these. Her hands can now remove her diaper. When we're changing diaper, as soon as she hears it being removed, her hands would move over to her tummy and as soon as you close one of the diaper's velcro, she'll run her hands through her diaper and opens or removes the velcro.
When she's sleeping, she prefers sucking her thumb or a pacifier and having something block her face. She would sleep with either one or both of her hands on her face, or a blanket covering her face.
We've been feeding her Gerber first food. The very first food we tried was Gerber's Rice Cereal. It was lunch time, Sunday, March 5. Of course she pushed it out using her tongue. We also tried giving her apple puree also a Gerber brand, and banana puree. She's ok with these food, no allergic reactions or irregular bowel movements. She also tried carrots and sweet potatoes. All of these, she was able to take in without any problems. She can now eat without her tongue pushing the food out.
At 6 months, she's wearing Huggies diaper size 4, drinking 5 ounces of Similac formula milk every 3.5 to 4 hours. She sleeps through the night, and would only wake up if she's hungry but then she easily goes back to sleep at night. Her 2 lower teeth showed up on April 5th! At one point, she was dancing or her butt was dancing to certain music and she would move her butt/hips from side to side like dancing to that song. She only does that now when we need to change her diaper! A lot has changed and we're happy to see her grow happily and healthy.
